About the Report

Welcome to Pragati 2021

This is ESAF Small Finance Bank’s Report on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) deployments. The report provides a bird’s eye view of the fund allocation, reports and stories from the areas of fund deployment.

ESAF Small Finance Bank has diligently aligned its CSR policy to the directives of the Government of India, deploying the CSR funds to areas of concern that are in urgent need of attention and intervention. ESAF SFB, however, follows a convention of setting aside 5% of its profits for CSR activities, higher than the Government mandate of 2% of profits.

CSR FY 2020-21 is the 3rd edition of ESAF SFB CSR. The legacy of the first and second editions have been taken to greater heights through the third edition of our CSR operations that utilised Rs. 7.15 crore for various projects. All the projects were designed with a long-term perspective, focussing on sustainable and holistic development. The positive impact of each of these projects in discussion will definitely continue to ripple through, making new waves of change in the coming years.

The report also sheds light on the contributions of each of the projects towards realising the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Most of the projects are designed to be powerful drivers of development that reduce poverty and hunger, improve health and wellness, gender equality, water and sanitation, energy, environment sustainability, sustainable livelihoods, social justice and partnership for a sustainable society.
